got problem pls help

Hi and thanks for looking well my problem is i kinda new not to keep them in a group less then 6 But
my mum bought me 3 as a present when i saw them in the tank there was between 50-100 and they where stunningly fast and active
but mine seem to be more calm surton times they swim round fast (when i turn light off) could this be becuase i only have 3 and they should be atleast 4

i cant add any more for atleast a week if not 2 but i dont want them to die of lonelyness (wil they)or will they get more active

I dont know about this species but i know a little about schooling fish... I have some rasboras and when i first got them they just swam around and didn't school. I have since found out that this is okay, if they are scared thats when they bunch up and start swimming all crazy. So in my experience, the calmer they are the better... It sounds to me like ur fish are alright

If anyone else knows more (or can correct me) please add.
