Got my puffer tank

Ok, just got a Eclipse 5 hexagonal tank for puffers (YAY) . I filled it 1/2 full with water from my 20 gal, the other half with purified tap water. I put in an ornament from my 20 gal to get the bacteria.

Now this aquarium is 13L X 11W X 15H inches. Now my questions is, should I get 2 dwarf puffers 1" max or one spotted puffer? 6-8" max. This is going to be a species tank.

Personally I'd opt for the dwarves mate making sure that there is plenty of decoration to break up the line of sight in the tank to stop any fights..

Id go for the figure eight, i think hed be more interesting

Well, Both the spotted puffer and the Figure 8 are Brackish, and keeping the salinity stable in a tank that small will be quite a task. I would suggest you go with the 2 Dwarfs, or (if you do lot's of water changes) you could check out the freshwater South american puffer.

i would personaly go for 2 figure eight puffers
dwarfs dont seem to be as intresting ass fig8's

such small tank tho 1 maybe 2 max would be ok

i assume an eclipse 5 is a 5 gal? you could only fit two dwarf puffers in that. its way to small for a full grown green spotted and two figure 8s would be pushing it, though one would work.

yes.. tank is definitely too small for 2 figs... I would go for the 2 dwarves.
