Got Cichlids

Long story short my Birchir Eel was using my tetras and mollies as snack food so I took the survivors to my LFS and got credit. Swimming in one of the bargain tanks (I hate that name but for lack of a better term it will do) were two rainbow cichlids. One is black and blue striped and the other is more of a green. The black and blue guy is bigger but both of em are big enough that the bircher eel has decided they aren't worth it.

Anyway it is fun to see some bigger fish in my tank and to have some cichlids.The same Lfs is having a sale this weekend. Any ideas who might be good tank mates? I was thinking a couple severum? Hmmm well thanks in advance for any advice.

I wouldn't know what to tell you to go with, but just wanted to say congrats! cichlids are awesome!

I'd get a severum if i were u especially the gold ones as they are fun to watch and their coloration is amazing, I just got one yesterday when it was in my LFS it has a peachy color but as soon as he settles in my tank he has a bright yellow color now, I'm not really sure this is normal though...
