i was having major ammonia issues in my tank that i keep in my shed,it had 6 peppered corys and about 10 cherry shrimp in it,i decided to move the corys to my main tank and the shrimp to my cory fry tank, and i was just going to leave the filter to run to let the bacteria build up again as it was showing about 2ppm,so gave the tank a good hoover out, cleaned the bogwood and plants, left the original water in there as there was ammonia in the water from the fish that were in there, think it must have been going through a mini cycle, anyway fast forward a week later, went out to the tank tonight as i was going to put some mature media in the filter, and there were about 20 cory fry swimming about,it's got me baffled,i know the corys must have spawned before i took them out,but i cleaned the sand, washed the plants and bogwood,so i haven't a clue where the eggs were!!!

Congratulations scotty... Makes you wonder how many eggs you might have unknowingly hoovered up!

Have you moved them out of the tank, or has the filter caught up with the ammonia?

the filter has caught up with the ammonia,it just has me baffled where the eggs were

Perhaps they were on the glass? Nice surprise though!
