Got a pl*co today

I got a bristlenose pl*co today for my african cichlid tank. My question is how often should i toss in an algea pellet. During the day the cichlids get most of the algea on the gravel and rocks and I dont think the pl*co is getting that much. Thanks in advance for any help

I feed my plecos and loaches after I turn off the lights that way the other fish don't eat it all and the pleco becomes more active night b/c its nocternal.

a cucumber slice every few days will help them grow up big and strong too

i usually feed mine every second day with an ocassional piece of cucumber. if shes hungry on the days i dont feed her, she has to find her own food

Your chichlids might chew on your pleco's fins so this is just a warning

Anyway after feeding your chichlids at night turn off the light and wait a few minutes. Drop in shrimp pellets or alge tablets (Which have a bad habbit of clouding water) And for a treat sometimes buy a plant clip from your lfs and zuchinni is a favorite of plecos!
