got a new bettas and........

well went to my tropical fish shop today and saw a lovely female so i got her but when i got home and put her in my tank the male that was already in there went right up to her and they started fighting so i took the female back to the pet shop and he told me i had got a rare shot fined male
and that they are hard to sex well i have kepted him and am going to try and breed him.

Are short fined males rare?

A normal female will do, you male would have a go at first even if it was a female, see if you can get a picture of him/her on this post we will be able to tell you then.....
