Hello,

Does anyone (sorgan in particular!) know what type of gorg this is :

The pictures really dont do the coral justice, so its prob better to describe it. It looks like velvet. Its main body colour is a redy pink purple, different in each light, and where each bit of light hits it. Its polyps are very very small, and are a dark purple.

Any ideas?

murileceopsis flavida or purple bush gorg I think.

Cheers mate, any info on it?? photosynthetic? or pure NPS?

I think it's photosynthetic but needs a regular feed, it feeds at night.

Cheers m8!! Wish you could see it, so pretty!!

I've had one, that's the gorg that poisoned me when I fragged it :)
Died during the crash.

Poisoned?! oh no!! Please tell me your joking?! What happened??

If you decide to frag it don't get the purple stuff in your mouth, that's all I will say lol.

You tried eating it? sounds scary :) So now you have poisonous zoas and a gorg! I think someone should set up a lethal coral tank...

I didn't try to eat it lol, I got splashed.

made me dizzy, made my hands, legs and feet go numb, i was hard of breathing for a bit and my vision blurred.
only lasted about an hour so i sat it out (after eating a few fist fulls of antihistamines)
