Goodbye to two friends

A couple of my boys passed away recently, so I figured it was time to make a memorial thread.
First was Zaliel, a Walmart betta who had lived with me for over a year. He was showing his age recently and it was just his time to go, I suppose. RIP Zaliel, I hope you had a good life with me little guy.

Next is Ipos... yes, the father of my spawn. I was doing water changes Thursday and when I got to his tank, to my shock, he was nowhere to be seen. Turns out he's my second betta to have managed to jump out the tiny little hole in the lid of his Aquaview tank. Seriously guys, if you have bettas in Aquaviews, cover that hole... you'd be surprised the spaces these guys can manage to jump through. I found him dried up under my desk, and he lived for about 5 minutes when I returned him to his water but he was too far gone to make it. RIP Ipos, you gave me some beautiful fry

Oh, I'm so so sorry. It sucks to lose fish. Ipos made beautiful babies, and he will live on through them. I bet they both had good lives with you though.

That's a great idea. My little green iridescent boy is now Ipos Jr. in memory of his father . He'll probably be the one to carry their genes on into the next generation.

Oh, Synirr, I'm so sorry. Both of them were lovely fish. A year on a Walmart betta? Great job, he probably had a wonderful life.

Ipos was a beautiful fish. I'm sorry for your loss. But at least you have his beautiful sons and daughters. What does the name Ipos mean, I'm curious?
