Good testing kit?

Looking for a good testing kit.

I use Freshwater master test kit. It was about £17 but has enough in it for about 700 tests.

It covers, PH, High PH, Ammonia, Nitrate and Nitrite.

Would help if you said what country you're in though cos not everything is available in all countries

You could always ask a good lfs for some test kits. The people that work in my favourite lfs are real helpful ^__^

i fixed my location...

i currently have " Fresh Lab " makers are RED SEA sold in many countries. which test for ammonia, PH, and Nitrite.

I bought a tank about 5 weeks ago. Never having a fish tank growing up this became a learning experience.

I bought a tank and the LFS told me 3 days and i could add a 1/3 of the fish i wantted to add. I didn't read these forums on the net until after i had a tank and starting having problems. " Fish dropping like flys"

ammonia = 0
nitrite = >1 " greater then 1 " stupid card don't tell any levels above 1.
nitrate = 10
ph = 7.2


Was looking for a test that will give a more accurate readings ex: 1.5

I know I know!!! get that nitrite level down. 10-15% water changes dayly is keeping the remainning fish alive. Athough im sure there life spans have been shortened.

With nitrites off the scale I'd recommen a bigger water change daily until it comes down.

Nitrite is highly toxic to fish, so 1 is already dangerous. Keep up the water changes!
