Well christmas is coming up and i was fancying some fish books. I already have the pets at home tropical fish book (not great) and the bumper book of tropical fish by Dick Mills. Can anyone reccomend some good reading.

Thanks.

It really depends on what type books you want. Most of the books out dealing with fishkeeping are rather outdated and have information that isn't the best. A lot has changed in the last 10 years. I would look for books with a recent copyright date.

I agree with rdd,

if you are more specific, you can get better recommendations. Are you looking for lists/encyclopedias of fish? Fish behavior? Books on specific fish/families? Books on planted tanks/aquatic plants? Books on health? And, at what level/difficulty? Because there are some very good (and recent!) university texts that has some very in depth information, but if you don't have the background or desire to work through a textbook, then you shouldn't waste your money on it.

I know they're quite cheesy but the 'What' books (What marine invertebrate etc) can make interesting reading :)

Baensch Atlas's and Aqualogs.
