good or bad idea and do i need to change anything?

I would keep the betta in a tank of its own. The tetra's could nip his fins.

Glow lights are not know for nipping but it only takes one to cause terrible damage.

They should be fine though.

thanks.
i already have 5 glowlights and 3 corys so i mite just get 6-7 glowlights then add the betta then if there is no fin nipping, add the other 3 glowlights.

I've kept glow light tetra and they didn\'t nip fins but there a chance they could.
If you do have problems with fin nipping you could always buy a tank of its own.

Depends on the temperament of the tetras. As helterskleter said, glowlights aren't known for nipping. I have some with my siamese fighter.

if there is nipping on the betta, then its a great excuse to get another tank :p i could then tella little wight lie and tell her they need 10 g atleast, split it into 2 and have 2 bettas!!! :p good plan ehh, :p

Better to be honest than lie lol.
