Somewhere else, as I am banned...
It would seem that Tunze are releasing a smaller version of the wavebox. I have no idea on price (though the larger one was around £300) but it is only 55mm wide, 220m tall and 125mm deep. Operating power is between 2 and 18W with a 10W average and it is designed for aquaria between 150 and 600 litres (39 to 158 us gallons).

Great news for those looking for great water movement in medium sized tanks.

Also, the full size stream pumps have had a make over (now called Tunze Turbelle stream 2) to look more like the nano pumps and come complete with magnets now. And yes, you can still get a powerhead that turns over 30,000 LPH (7,925 US gallons per hour) from just 64W if you so desire!

Heard that, now if we could just find out cost and release date. I for one would be very interested in dropping hints for a christmas gift ;) ;)

Available for Christmas 2008 at € 283.40
Surely it cant be that expensive. I know the controller comes with it but........

It's Tunze, surely it can ;)

To be fair though, it will probably work great for decaades with little/no maintenance

I should hope it would last a long time.

I may eye that for my 120usg, although i may better off going w/a larger one istead.

I still have plenty of time to sit and plan for it :)

£223 for the smaller one or £300 for the large one...

I'd spend another £80 and go upgrade proof.

However, many of the retailers sell below the Tunze price, so you may (in a year or so) see it at around the £200 mark, which isn't horrendous as it would handle all circulation on a 75ish reef for you.

I'd love one of them, I'll have a look at it when the time comes and see if I could incorporate into the system some way.
Anyone got the footprint dims.

Alternatively, just make your own whilst using tunze parts (pump).

Theres a great DIY guide in the reef keeping online magazine on how to do it.

But then again, it wouldnt be as good quality as the tunze wavebox....

Your choice, just throwing something out there.

My main concern there would be in getting a controller that would allow you to "tune" the pulse to the length of the tank without buying the controller. Once you have bought the controller then you are into the price realms of buying a whole unit.

Any chance of a link to the guide (PM if necessary)? I would be interested in having a look.
