Hi all im wanting to stock up on good medicines for the fish so im looking for the item as in my title ill like a good internal bacteria medication im in the uk can anyone suggest anything thanks.

There was a good med by jbl but cant get it anymore.
Though it did wipe the benefical bacteria out in the filter.

The problem with uk meds are they are not that strong and have to be on tops of things fast.
Once a bacterial infection has progressed hard to cure on uk meds.

Uk med bacterial.
Myxazin by waterlife
Anti internal bacteria med by interpet.
Esha 2000.

You could try and get maracyn united states med online.

I just used interpet no 9 on my krib and it had absolutely no effect. Also when i put it in my tank my other fish got an outbreak of columnaris... don't know whether it's related but just to let you know my experience with it.

Best not to use bacterial meds to often the fish will build a resistance up to them.
Someone on this board contacted interpet as they said the bacterial med wasn't working.
They said you can double dose but only in severe cases, but I would definately issolate sick fish so the rest of the fish don't get used to the med so it no longer works.

That's the whole problem.. the dilemma between giving meds unnecessarily or waiting and then it may be too late.

There is signs of bacterial infection if the fish is showing no symtoms are.
Being pale or darker in colour, being listless and lethagic, and sometimes a fish not eating.

being listless and lethagic.....
Wilder what exactly dos that mean please, sorry if i sound thick :(

The fish will show signs of having no energy, finding it hard to keep afloat.
Swaying to oneside, resting on the bottom of the tank to oneside and resting on plants.
You get to know your fish after time by watching and observing there behavour, so it easy to know when the fish is off colour.
Also when a fish hides away it can mean something is wrong, if they don't normally do it.

This article is a good read.

Taken from the link.
The third type of infection produced by Aeromonas is by no means the least. This form is often the most virulent (potent) and can be rapidly fatal. This insidious form does not produce any noticeable external ulcers. The most notable feature is a behavioral change in which the infected fish generally become listless and lethargic. Some fish may lose color or appear darker. The fish do not feed, frequently seem off balance and may sink to the bottom laying on their sides. The course of the disease is rapid, and by the time the behavioral changes are noticed, the entire population of a tank may succumb, sometimes in a day or so. This is an internal infection, with the bacteria being found in the kidneys and blood of these fish. The bacteria produce potent toxins that account for the severity of the disease.
