Hello all,
I have two quick questions that I have been wondering about...could you keep a strictly species pleco tank without any problems at all?

Also, I have a spare 10 gallon tank around and I was wondering if I were to get a dwarf species of the pleco which only grew around 5inches, would this be a suitable tank size for it? Would I maybe be able to put 2 in here? Thanks

You can keep strictly a pleco tank as long s you do not have aggressive plecos. You should choose more timid plecos that stay small if you want to do a pleco tank. just check out the L numbers under planetcatfish.com's catalog section, under common names L. However, I wouldn't put a five inch pleco into a 10 gallon, maybe a 20 gallon at the least. Plecos are typically high waste producers and do need some room for nocturnal prowling. I would suggest little pit bull plecos or something that gets about 2-3 inches.
