Hi, Im looking for a good filter for 50 gallon tank. (my tank is actually 30 gallon but since I have turtle, they say i should put a filter twice the capacity)

I have found this one:

http://www.petco.com/product/4051/AquaClea...er-Filters.aspx

The 50 gallon version is $31.49.

What I dont know is which are the replacement cartridges?

Is this a good filter? or are there other better filters you guys recommend?

Also I need something to oxygante the water one of those pumps.

I have found with those, my water will last longer and I dont get much if at all algea.

So which is also a good one for those?

Aquaclears are good filters, and are quite versatile in terms of media, as you can use your own in teh baskets, no cartridges, so basically its liek a mini canister filter, how ever some problems that peopel talk about it are that :
1- the casing its weak and
2- it doesnt self prime after hte power goes out ...

the problem 2 i havent experienced with my newesr aquacelars, but iwth older versions of the filters i see that as a problem...
all in its a great filter..

For air pumpwise im clueless here xD

so, when they get alot of use, how do I replace change it? I dont quite udnerstand.

Just change about HALF the biomax every now and then... when it gets REALLY worn out...
or try using bioballs instead they last longer...

Ok since you have a turtle, I'm going to assume the water level isnt at the top since it's only 30G of water, you said right? So those aquaclear filters will not be good for that. Because the aquaclears are a H.O.B type of filter, mine work best when the water level is at the top of my tank. When the level gets lower, the filters get weaker.

I would suggest an internal filter such as a Fluval 3+, or check out the 4+

I personally have not used these filters, but for you're situation I think that any type of Internal filter would be best.
