O.K heres the story, I was so curious on how wal-mart sells there fish so I bought one. They had so many plecos in there 10gallon tanks so I had to get one out of there. I wanted the smallest one they had, so I took one yesterday. They bagged it and I was on my way to the cash register when I figured out how they sold there fish. They put the UPC code on the bag. So when I was there I was getting out my wallet getting ready to buy it and when the lady said that will be 27 cents I was apalled. But I didnt say anything due to the fact Im already broke. So I went home and called wal-mart again just to see how much it really is. The lady said 4bucks so I was so happy that I saved so much. The upc code was actually for a gold fish. But anyways I just wanted to know more about these little things. I have him in my 10gallon for now. But next week im going to switch him over to my moms tank, which is roughly 55gallons. I hope thats big enough, its been empty for a while and my mom only allowed it because it ate algae. ODD. Well does anyone else have a fun story to share? or maybe some helpfull tips on caring for it. Its about 3-4inches right now.

My advice: get to planet catfish and try and Id the fella. Max size of plecs (Loricaridae family) is anywhere from 1" to 24"+

Good deal.

I managed to bag a free 10 spined stickleback in my purchase of feeder shrimp at the weekend. May do a coldwater tank for the fellow, not sure yet...

That is a GREAT deal for that pleco because I paid $6 or something for mine and he was smaller than that. But he will outgrow both tanks pretty fast. Mine was sadly stunted alittle bit in the 10g before I knew about there size and got a long 20g for him. So I am putting mine in the coming 55g so he can hopefully grow some more.
