Here is a wee picture of my wonderful horse Brody

Unfortunately I am having to sell him which is breaking my heart :-( but it has to be done!

He is such a gorgeous big horse and has the most perfect temperament.
He is 16 hh and will be 6 yrs in the spring!

Hope you like him!

That horse is beautiful I can see why it is breaking your heart to get rid of him. I am sorry you have to find him another home. I would make sure that the people who you gave him to will let you atleast visit him...

he's gorgeous!!
if i had the space, money, time and space i would look after him for you!
but i live in london, and its like £300 a WEEK at least to keep horses at stables around here.
boooo!

you must be pretty tall by the way if he's 16hh o_O

Oh he's gorgeous! What breed is he? He looks almost like a Gypsy Vanner.

So sorry you have to get rid of him. I have horses, and can only imagine how terrible it must be. :( ((((hugs))))

Yeah he is a Gypsy Vanner. He was only 3 in the picture and was about 15.2hh and has grown and filled out a bit now!

Thank you for all your kind words! Will find out on Wednesday where he will be definately going. hopefully close to home but have had more interest from down south so visiting him might not be practical!

He will be sadly missed but I am confident that he will be able to look after himself and is such a good soul that he wont be passed from pillar to post.

He doesnt cost so much to keep £60 a month that his grazing and insurance as he lives out on about 150 acres of cattle grazing, doesnt need fed or shod and too hairy for rugs. I'm very au naturel when it comes to my horses! But he's definatley been the cheapest horse "to run " that I've had! I've been lucky to have him for as long as I have!

I'm only 5'6" just got long legs!

:D

I was thinking Gypsy Vanner. He just looks like one. Totally beautiful.

Hopefully he WILL stay close to your house. Visiting him might be a good way to keep it so you don't feel like he's totally gone. Keep us updated on what's going on with him! :)

I. Love. Gypsy Vanners!!! I want one so badly, he's simply beautiful! i love the trees in the shots, too, it really adds to his elegance!

Thank you to everyone again!

Well a lovely family who produce show horses and ponies and attend shows up and down the country have bought him. They came to see him on Wednesday afternoon and took him away by 7pm that night! Probably better that way I dont get a chance to change my mind!

So he's in for a bit of a culture shock from 150 acres free to roam and occasionaly being brought in to work to being stabled and groomed to within an inch of his life they're even getting him special socks for in the field so he doesnt get muddy! He wont know whats hit him! But you never know 2 years time he could be competing at the horse of the year show! The girl was there this year showing one of her horses! Sad but he really is going to be using all his potential! When I get my photos of him in the field developed I will post them!

xox

Thats sad you had to get him a new home. But it sounds like he has got a good home I guess. I just want to say he is the prettiest horse I have ever seen. And I am quite sure you will be seeing him in some horse shows..

He is georgeous...I absolutely love paints! And he is so sturdy looking...I love the look of a draft horse, so strong. My friend had a percheron cross that was to die for, but yours is just wonderful.

I did some research on that breed, that is a cool background...sounds like a great kids horse...since they are bred specifically to be so docile. Yours is big though, at 16h, everything I've read says they only get to 15.2h....so I bet he is magnificant in person. You gotta love a big horse.
