ok last night i disscussed the upgrading of tanks to my parents. they said well this is a good hobby for you. Yes we'll upgrade. But now I cant choose the right tank??? :X

What fish im planing to get.
(1). Red Belly Pacu.
(2). 4 oscars
(3). Dragon goby (going to put him in the new tank)
(4). 4-6 guppies.
(5). couple neon Tetra.

What tank would be the best for me?
My parents want to by me the chaepest good tank you can get??
were would I look?

oh and could you give me the link to the cheapest fish tank I can buy?

Well at walmart they have a 55gal for $150. Is this a good price?

I just research more, you cant even fit 1 oscar in there, and for the pacus Im not sure, my frined had 4 in his 85 gallon until he sold them, the goby sounds cool but make sure is freshwater, and for the rest I dont really like them, but if want a community tank which seems kinda torn, tetras. As for the rest your lucky your parents are behind your hobby, I however Im not so lucky...

I would scratch off the first three on your list. You've been posting about putting your goldfish and betta together which shows to me you're not quite yet experienced for those types of fish yet. I don't know about the Pacus, but I know oscars (especially 4!) require more than just a 55 gallon tank. Instead of getting new fish, why not get a larger tank for your goldfish. I hear 55gallon complete setups can be a good deal at places like Petsmart, Petco, maybe even Walmart (not sure, I don't have one nearby). You can also check out Craigslistp.org, buy a used tank, save a bundle of money and make your parents happy.
If you got something nice and big for your goldfish, then maybe you could get a group of guppies or tetras for the tank your goldfish used to be in, was it a ten gallon? I don't recall.

Glad to hear that you're upgrading - bigger tanks are generally much better than smaller ones.

Your potential stocklist is a bit dodgy though:

1. 4 oscars in a 60 gal and with other fish is out of the question.
2. Be careful about what species of 'pacu' you buy - real 'Pacu' grow to atleast 2 feet and need a huge tank. 'Red bellied pacu' (colour variant of silver dollar?) need to be kept in groups and a 60 gal tank still might not be big enough.

3. Your dragon goby will probably eat your guppies and neons and if he can't catch 'em then an oscar most certainly will (if you're foolish enough to put one in with them).

You're best off sticking to small and peaceful community species - Lots of neon tetras (they need to be kept in groups of atleast 6, more for best effect) and guppies.

OR if you want to move your dragon goby into a bigger tank (which is a great idea) then why not get a couple more dragon gobies? They're peaceful especially if given enough space to establish territories. You can then get some reasonably sized mid-upper level dwelling fish to fill the rest of the tank (something like some Rainbowfish).

If you want a cheap tank then I suggest that you buy a copy of Practical Fishkeeping magazine and browse the various adverts etc OR go secondhand eg. via Ebay.

Yeah mate, as others have said, the best thing to do before you get ANY more fish is to read, READ and read again - if you are genuinely interested in the hobby then this should be cool...

Oh, and remember to read :book:

I see that the poster is currently looking at this post but has failed to respond. This happens in what seems like all of the posts he has made. I feel like he's just trolling our forums to get us hyped up and maybe we should stop responding, atleast until the poster responds to us.
By the way, according to another post of his, he's keeping that dragon goby (a brackish fish which can grow over a foot) with a betta and they are "best of friends"
