Today i got 2 Red Mushroom Coral...one was about a inch wide and the other was about a half an inch....but when i got them home and put them in my tank the half inch one was about 2 cm big! and the other was about half and inch :(

my questions is will they grow back to there normal size!!??

also will the grow bigger, and multiply??

Thanks!

Mushroom size depends largely on the water flow they're exposed to. In low-flow areas, mushrooms will get REALLY big like mine do here

They're in a low flow corner of my tank and to give you a size reference, none of those polyps you see in that picture are less than 1.5" in diameter... However, when I had the very same mushrooms up on a high flow area they looked like this

In that picture the biggest shroom is 1.5" in diameter...

To answer your other question, yes they will grow and multiply pretty much exponentially. So dont expect anything right away but once your colony starts getting up to 5-10 mushrooms it will explode. Mine are getting a little out of control actually

They are back to normal..actually they look bigger, and both have found there homes :)

thaks man... mushrooms by the way.. What kind are they??

Thanks for the compliment, they're just plain old green-stripe mushrooms. A dime a dozen to be honest where I am :)

i wish they were that chhep here!! In newfoundland at my LFS they are like $5 for a samll mushroom and $10 for a big one!!!
