I am changing my tropical community tank to an tanganyika shell dwellers, so i have the following fish for free, before i give them to the lfs, i thought they could go to a loving home:

1 Male Bosemani Rainbow
1 Male Orange Guppy
2 Harlequin Rasbora
4 white cloud mountain minnows
4 gold cloud mountain minnows

No postage, pick-up only from DY11 5HP, PM me for full address :)

thanks

EDIT: If anyone takes the lot you will get a few free plants :) worth up to £5

I dont think I've made enough posts to privately MM you, but I live just outside Wolverhampton, and would love a few fish if they aren't too hard to care for.

all of these fish are "hardy", how do you think they have lasted so long in my tank  bear in mind the rainbow is 2-3" so, how bigs your tank?
have you got e-mails mate? mine is shown in my profile :)

cheers

My tank is about 53 litres (11 something gallons) from the calculation, live plants, sand/gravel substrate.

Only currently housing Ramhorn snails, temps about 25 celsius.

I'm still new to fish, so I'll trust your judgement on if I can take any =)

Oh and my email is:

[email protected] (I'll add it to my profile now)

your tanks about the same as mine, but i know this may sound stupid being as though i have a bosemani, but, i recon its too small, thats another reason why i am changing the tank over, so a no go on the rainbow im afraid- also i take it you want the fish asap? i need the space within about a week
let me know if thats ok

ps. all the other fish ie.. guppy, white minnows, gold minnows, harlequins will be fine

Thats fine, I wouldn't want to overload the tank anyway, I'd maybe question if 11 fish added at one time is too much at once? I'm not sure. The nice thing is they already know eachother.

I can come by anytime thats good for you.

i think they will be fine added together, becuase they are only small fish you see, just make sure after you add them you feed tiny tiny ammounts 1 times daily, and monitor water quality often, you may need to do a water change every day too, but im sure they will be fine, they have been in my tank for a year, so they are rock solid!

ps.. see my email!

Feeding daily will be fine, but will daily water changes be needed forever? That could be abit much for me, as i'll leave my tank in the care of my parents for parts of the year.

no, not forever, only for about a week, if that, as long as you have mature media its fine, but thats what i'd do, 20% water changes daily for about a week, no gravel cleaning, just a quick in and out, fill back up with cold water as its only a small percentage, less than 5 minutes really :)

cheers mate

Ah thats fine then, will deal with any possible nitrate spikes made by introducing them I guess.
