hi my fiance just brought 2 goldfish there in a 10 g (uk) tank and they seem to be lifeless at the bottom of the tank. any idea why they would seem like this?

thanx adam

Were they feeders? If they cost under a buck or so (more like 30 cents), then they are very weak stock and you will have to nurse them back to health.

I would suggest returning them, but most lfs have a "no return" policy on feeder shrimp and fish. :/

Also, goldfish are very dirty fish, and they require lots of water changes, especially in smaller tanks. If they are comets or any other goldfish, they'll get to at least around 8" .

TF "we do not use feeders here in the UK due to it being illegal."

Yank curiosity; how do you feed your carnivorous fish like oscars then?
In the states they're also used to feed garter snakes...

(I used to end up saving the ones my pet garter wouldn't eat. I was glad to finally give both away. This was years ago when I taught preschool...)

first of all, loose the agressive font please.

secondly we use whitebate, clams, mussles etc, all of which are frozen.
