yesterday my fiancee's friend left me with a few goldfish that were originally meant as feeders for my fiancee's turtle. he decided that these guys were too cute to feed to the turtle so they were saved from caw(yes thats the turtles name). that was the start of my problem. 2 of the lil cutties i have found to have what i believe to be fin rot. i have dealt with betta fish with fin rot before but never my gold fish so do i treat them the same way i would any other fish or do they require a little more help?
it has been decided by me that caw will now only eat pre killed frozen/thawed fish, fresh greens, and his pellets.

to get these fish healthy then you need to tell us what size tank, size of fish and filtration..

normally feeder fish are poorly bred and dont last long anyway even with proper care.

keeping the water really clean is a must, so test the water each day for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates. make sure filtration is heavy and media washed in old tank water.

these cute fish can grow to a foot or more, but as ive said feeders arent bred to live long.
