goldfish under attack!

I have an out door pond with only goldfish and minnows in it. I came out one day and my baby goldfish had a ripped top fin and a huge cut on his back and some scales r miss( they look like something grabed him and then he slid out ulling some scales off with him). AAHHH i just remembered that we had some crayfish in there i think they might be back! the filter is covered in a net so the fish cant get in it. the baby seems to be ok. the cut is not infected or anything of the sort. i think he'll be ok. but what if whatever cut hims comes back! help any suggestions.

I know that my cats, the family of raccoons from the backyard, and at least two different great blue herons all go fishing in my neighbour's pond. It's quite possible that something DID have it and it got away. The neighbour put netting across the top of the pond to try and keep all the little fishers out.

what about birds? Over here a lot of people have to cover their ponds with nets coz of fish eating birds

Yep gadazobe... the great blue herons are huge fish-eating birds.
