Goldfish Tail

Do Goldfish tails grow back? Seems like a silly question, im a newbie

Yes, they do. usually not the same color as they were, though. What was the cause of the tail loss? If you've already treated for fin rot (if that was the cause), or if it was an injury, just perform frequent water changes and the tail should be as good as new.

thanks for the tip, i saved the poor thing from my boyfriend's jewel cichlid, but alas, he got sick yesterday and died, but i'll remember that if i save any more of his fish.

Sorry to hear that. I take it you lectured him on mixing tropicals and coldwater fish.

I did, but he'd just blow me off and give me a hard time saying all his cichlids are alive, he's down to one goldfish now though, so I'll probably save it. But he doesnt want me to take it until he gets this big castle and his firemouth can hide in it in case his jewel goes after it once i take the goldfish.
