Goldfish Slime Trail?

My Redcap has a string of slime hanging off it. Anyone know what this is?

It's probably just poo; short bodied goldies are very prone to this problem.

Give the fish a few days without food, and then try some lightly cooked, deshelled peas; that should help it's digestive system get back in good order.

I fed it peas last night actually and no sign of the slime this morning. Hopefully you're right.
