i know breeding in your tank/pond is usually a sign of good conditions. But my problem is that the goldfish are breeding so much in my pond, that I have to many. besides scooping them out which solves the problem of the extra fish but not the problem of them having more, what can I do? I have thought about adding bullfrogs, wont they eat the baby goldfish? but then they will pretty much eat anythign else they can get into their mouths, including the other frogs that I like. any suggestions.

just wish stuff in my reef tank would act like these "rabbitt" goldfish I have.

You can stop the breeding by seperating males and females but I suppose that isn't really practical. If you reduce the plant and other forms of cover in the pond the fry will have no where to hide and the parents will consume them. But theres no real way of stopping the fish breeding if they are in the same fish are kept in the same environment.

EDIT: One way may be to keep the temperature constant with a heater if possible, as spawning is triggered by a raise in temperature after a lengthy period of time at cooler temperatures.

why not sell the baies if it's a all year tank you would have plenty of time to grow them to good size
