Goldfish Has Growth - Help

As the title says; one of my goldfish has a growth. I've looked on line but I'm a bit confused as to what to do...I've found the following picture and the growth on the fish in the picture is similar to the growth on my fish. My fishes growth is on it's head.

What can I do to help the fish?

EDIT: I should mention that there are other fish in the tank and I only have one fish which has the growth.

What you discribe sounds as if it is a virus which is highly contagious and as far as I can remember, it is not curable.. unfortunately I can't remember what it is called.. I will get back to you when I can.

But the photo shows a lesion which would probably go away on it's own with some anti-bacterial treatment and time.

Ok, forget the photo then; my fish has a growth.

The fish in general seems to be ok, it's swimming/eating ok - I'll keep my eye on it and try to get a decent photo to upload it properly.
