Hi. I have 3 goldfish. 1 black moor and 2 common goldfish. My two common goldfish just ganged up on the black moor all of a sudden. The black
moor got so badly hurt that it lost most of it's scales And parts of it's tail fin. I have separated these fish from eachother. What happened?

Hi, blackmoors are fancy type fish which have longer fins and fatter bodies therefore making them slower and less robust than goldfish the two should not be kept together due to this, also what size tank have you got them in? goldfish are more pond fish than anything else and soon out grow tanks, depending on the size of your tank perhaps re home the goldfish and get another blackmoor?

Thanks. My tank is not very big but I am going to get a bigger one soon. When I get the new tank which is around 150 liters. Will I be able to put the black moor back in with the other fish?

Hi I'm afraid the black moor will always be bullied by the gold fish so it is not recommended you keep the two types together even in a bigger tank, the black moor should ideally be kept with similar size and type fancy goldfish, common goldfish aren't good candidates for tank environments long term I'm afraid.

you should NEVER keep facey fish with common goldfish as they will eventualy kill it as i found out by mixing them
