Goldfish disease

Hi,

My friend has had her fancy goldfish for about a month, and she recently noticed its losing scales on its side, also the dorsal fin is constantly down. I checked her water and everything seems low and normal, and she does regular water changes. Her filter only covers mechanical filtering, so I was wondering if that might be the problem, but then again her water tests all came back normal. If anyone knows anything that would help that would be great.

Can you post test result so we can take a look, how many gallons is the tank, and how many fish are in there, is she running an airstone for extra aeration, clamped fins are a sign of stress, missing scales can mean a number of thing, has the fish scraped them on the gravel, check the scales for any white in between them

Could you ask your friend to look inside the fishes gills and see if theres any white nodules.

if the goldfish is loosing scales, i might think its getting bullied by other fish...is it alone, what tankmates?

yes my 3 glodfish had the same prob


hate to tell you but they died


treat it as quick as you can coz they soon be in alot of pain ( like mine were)


do about 50% aday i would say
