my cousin has his own lake with tench roach rudd bream and perch in it and i was wondering if i could add goldne tench in or would they not survive in a lake

i dont know to much but ive been fishing at lakes and cought golden tench so i would think theyd be ok or they wouldnt of had them in there

there are a few pike in lake and i dont want to b feeding them by adding the tench in but i cant find out too much info at min

pike live fine with common tenchbut golden tench are a little smaller but ive cought them upto about 7ld and it would take a big pike to have that
how bigs the lake
are there a lot of pike or just a few because they wont be able to eat many if theres a few
do you know how big the pike are

d lakes not massive round an acre id say, iv only caught pike to 9 lb in it so there not too big in it. i dont tink theres too many pike as we hav fished for them a good bit without much luck

yh they will be fine to add them most lakes have some pike in there ive been to gravel pits with golden tench and like 20+lb pike

I've certainly caught golden tench in a lake, so you can have them in a lake. If you have normal tench in it, then you should be fine with golden tench. The pike are probably more likely to go for the roach, rudd or bream (skimmers). You are just as likely to have the tench, perch or bream eaten as you are the goldies although they will probably stick out more. Make sure there is plenty of silvers (roach, rudd) in there and you should be okay. Personally, i would only put in a few depending on the lake size. If it's only an acre, it's not a lake it's a pond, then you should consider rehoming some of the pike, because it is a very small pond to have pike in it. In a 1 acre pond, i would also only start with about 15 golden tench, if they do okay then increase their numbers. Hope this helps.
