hello people, i have got a golden plec and was just wondering if it was possible to cross breed it with another L number and if you can which would be best?

Not really sure why you'd want to but to my understanding I dont think so, atleast ive never heard of anyone even trying.

think that it would be interesting to see the results and for instance cross a goldie with a zebra plec would be something quite special

This is not something that would happen in a natural setting (eg outside of a lab)

You may get cross breeding in the same species group but not what you are suggesting...
(eg L066 King tiger and L260 Queen Arabesque - both of the hypancistrus family.)

I'm not sure why you would want to do that to 2 stunning fish.
The only hybrid that I've seen pictures of, lost the striking markings of the parent fish and mashed them together in what was ultimately not as attractive as either parent.

I believe plecs are quite difficult to breed in a tank under the best of cases. Sounds like an interesting mix, but probably not going to happen.

in my opinion i dont mind cross breeding if the fish do it on their own, but cross breeding in labs thats just wrong its not natural, for example i hate blood parrots they are man made fish which besides the total ugliness of the fish just isnt right,
i actually know a LFS that will not sell blood parrots because they are man made, and are not a natural fish
