I found these on ebay, and was thinking about getting them. I read somewhere that clams produce larvae things that parasite fish, can these breed in the aquarium and do the larvae really harm fish? Any replies are appreciated!

the larvae attach to the gills and kill the fish.... on very big fish, it doesnt hurt them becuase they can handle the parasites, but aquarium fish cant take it.
I'm not sure about the mussels, but I believe that golden clam larvae do not attach to fish gills. Clams also need a massive temperature change (simulating the changing of the seasons) to breed.
