Hi everyone,
I have a pair of Golden eye Dwarf Cichlids in a 15 gallon heavily planted tank. I have supplied loads of hiding places and I am trying to get them to breed. I did all the things that the books say, like leaving the female in there first so it is her territory then introducing the male. They start off all right both displaying full colours to each other but after a day the male becomes super aggressive and rips the female's tail. Last time he took the whole tail and it took a month of recuperation to get the female back into form! I am trying again but i can see rips in her tail again. Any advice for this kind of behaviour?
