Golden Apple Snail?

I have had this snail for about 2 months and he has been doing really well. Recently he has just be sitting at the bottom of the tank, he will usually come out in the evening and crawl around but I haven't seen him out lately. Today I came home to find him flipped on his back and it looks like he was coming out if his shell but he hasn't moved since. Could he be dead?

Yes, he could. Try flipping him over and see if he moves. If not, well ...

Snails do sleep like that; and can do for a few days.

If the snail doesn't move in a few days pick it out and smell it - if it's normal then it'll smell ok, if it's dead you'll certainly know .
