I lost my rubberlip this morning... and I think my gold stripe is next in line. Water stats are 0,0 and nitrate are non-toxic. The Gold-Stripe belly is even more sunk in now than it was before.. I'm afraid the next step is death and I'm out of options... I have a daily supply of courgette in the tank added around 2pm to make sure it's soft by 9pm. A quarter of a wafer is added every other day. I have attemped to drop shrimp pellets and add extra bloodworms, krill and beefheart hoping he will do some cleanup. What else can I do before I loose my little one? This is the only Gold Stripe Panaque I have seen around and I feel it's going to be the last in these parts...

:-(

short of adding garlic extract to the food and raising the temp, both of which are said to stimulate appetite i don't think there is much else.

I'm assuming you addded some fresh wood after my last post in the other thread?

could try de-worming him i suppose but it may be too late i think

The Gold Stripe passed away today :-(. Everything I'm putting into this tank is dieing, except for 1 blue ram. Even any ram I add will die in there. What can I do to this tank to make it so my fish stop dieing? Should I take the rocks out and boil them? That was never done... that's how they caught the cotton fungus.. but i treated that with pimafix. Could lavarock absorb that med?

sorry for your loss mate glad to see your not trowing your toys out the pram and still sticking with fish keeping

cheers dane
