My gold sevrum has been swimming irradically, he is only using one of his fins at a time, his tail fin and dorsal fin look like they are tearing and seem a bit blurry. Also, he seems to swim on an angle, and at times almost sideways looks like hes drunk. does anyone know what maybe wrong and if so is there something I can do to help him>?

I have a red parrot, pleco, blue gourami, brazilliana, and some tetras. Along with the previous list you can add twitching to his list of problems, Might this be old age? what is the life span of sevrums?

Hmmm not sure what the life span is...so none of your other fish are affected? I suppose it could be old age, do you know how old he is? And have you noticed any parasites or any other abnormal behaviour -is he still eating?

He is about 2 years old, he is no longer eating and no other fish are affected. He is the most harty fish in the tank.

The fins could be a second infection, is he having trouble maintaining his balance in the waer, he sounds like he is in a bad way.
