Gold Nugget

I've read that the gold nugget plecs are slow growers. I've had mine for a year now and he's only grown about a half an inch in that time. (he is approximately 2.5 inches right now).

Is this typical or is he not getting enough to eat?

Thanks - good to know. I'm rather thankful he is a slow grower as he can stay put for awhile. Once he gets 4 or 5 inches I'll need to move him into one of the larger tanks.

Just wondering what a good price would be for a golden nugget as may be tempted as have another tank thats sitting empty
how big do they end up? and any idea how long that takes from say a couple of inches?
not one for fish I can keep as think its not really fair on both them and me....as I would miss them so much if i had to rehome.

L018's can get to 18" - there are other that get to 6" or so (L081 and L177) but I'm not sure how to ID them..

Its either the smaller the spots the bigger the fish - or the other way round - not useful if you cant remember

There was a gold nugget pleco at the lps yesterday. it was called an "Iriri yellow seam pleco" and about 3" and they wanted $42 for it .
