Gold Nugget Price

Just been to an old LFS round my area that has come under new management. they had 4 Gold nuggets at £15.95, is this a reasonable price??

I was considering getting one but then read the info on the Bible that is Planet Catfish and it says they can get quite big and can be aggressive towards other plecs. not to worry, my search for the perfect plec goes on!!!

depends how big they are, £15 is probably quite reasonable for juvi's, they're very slow growing and don't handle being transported very well so the larger specimens can fetch quite a price.

That's a good price for a little one, the least I've seen them for was £18.95. However, at that price they tend to be tiny and have a well deserved reputation for dropping dead.

they are about 2-3 " length but think I am going to wait and find just the right plec for my set-up instead of diving in feet first!!!

My brother bought a very small one for £20, i've seen them large for about £180.
