Gold Nugget Pleco

Im after a young golden nugget pleco, how much do they normally cost? They are an amazing fish and i think one would be a great addition to my aquarium.

we often have 3-4" speciamines and they retail at around £30

Expect to pay anything from around 22 pounds upwards for a 3 inch or so piece.

Having said that i did buy one yesterday for 12 quid!!

But i have never seen any others at that price before so thats a freak occurence imo, typical price is just around the 30 pound mark like wolf said.

A notoriously difficult Loricariid to keep alive, do ya homework first lol!

Nice one! What size do they get to? Please can you give me some details ont hese fish (There habitat, food, etc)

A very difficult question to answer size wise, as there is more than one gold nugget.

this one can reach 14 inches

those links will give you info on the care requirements of the fish as they are all Baryancistrus sp. its pretty much the same for all 3.

problem comes when trying to figure out which one the one in the LFS is, unless you view them all side by side its hard to differentiate between them all even to the trained eye!
