gold nugget paralized

please help my gold nugget pl*co is paralzed i though it was dead but as i was gettig it out of the tank i noticed its gills still moving so i placed it on the glass it stayed there for 10 sec then fell back on too the sand it now blows around with the current but is still alive what should i do anyone knows whats happening ???

checked water parameters all within acceptable levels nitrate 0 ammonia 0 ph 6.4

Doesn't sound too good,but your water seems ok (ph is a little low,is it always 6.4?) What's your nitrite at? How is he now?

nitrate is at 0.1 the ph is low cos i had breeding discus which i sold last week im slowly raising the ph for the fish as i have removed the peat out of my filter and added zeocarb in stead so nitrate may not be the problem i think the plec has had its back broken by my 3 foot eel thanks for the reply

he had had to be euthanized he was paralized proberbilly by my eel( gutted )
