Gold Nugget, Faded Colors...

I have just recieved a 17cm gold nugget today.
I have a chichlid aquarium.
4 demasoni
4 electric yellow

I have also reshaped my entire structure to give it more hiding places.

I have noticed that it's colors are faded, What can i do about it?

wait and let it get settled in, when i bought mine his spots were white but now he has a ton more and they are yellow/gold

Faded cours are a sign of stress in gold nuggets. Give him a nice bloodworm feast and a couple of days peace & quiet and he's be lovely in no time.

Here's one of ours the day we got him. notice the faded black.

And here he is a couple of days later.

(Which incidentally answered one of my questions, is it normal for the caudal fin to be somewhat transparent)

well it has been a few days now, a week to be exact, and he is still faded
here is a recent picture, tell me what you think:

as you can see, he is all faded, even the colors on his tail!

i dunno what to do, i think this is not normal
also, he isn't eating much

Can't help with the question, but he looks ok. And he's not an L018 gold nugget...

I never said he is a L018
I think he is an other type of gold nugget.

He looks more like a galaxy pleco rather than a gold nugget. Lovely fish.

yeah, but he is not a galaxy pleco, because the galaxy pleco doesn't have yellow tip fins. he has spots all the way.
only the gold nugget pleco is spotted and has yellow tipped fins.
