Hi now my pond water is nice and clean and plants cut back i can see the fish more but i have noticed that one of my very large goldfish has 2 lumps one is on his head just above his eyes and the other just a little bit above that one he seems happy coming up to the top to feed and his not going off on his own ( like some of my fish have done when not well in the past ) but not sure what to do no new fish have been added to the water and no fish have died i do have a few baby fish that have been bred in the pond but other then that no new fish have been put in the pond ,any ideas ? All other fish are fine

What do the lumps look like? Ar they sort of waxy? If so, it could be carp pox; have a google and see if that looks like it.

Hi thanks for geting back to my post i think you might be right. When looking on google the lumps dont look as bad as the ones on google as my fishes lumps look more under the skin ( if that makes sense ? ) but in a few of the photos on google i can see it very well could be. Ive just had a little read up on it and it says " It is not curable but it's also not dangerous " is this true do you know ? also it dont say nothing about other fish catching it do you know more on that ? but i think it may just be that as the weather has been very warm last few weeks and it says if water gets cold the lumps will come up and lumps then go down when water warms up which when i cleaned the pond i did top the water up so makes sense that ive made water colder and lumps have only been seen since doing the clean up but all other fish look ok no problems at this time. Thanks for your post

I've goldies with carp pox, and yes it is harmless (but incurable). It doesn't appear to be catching; none of my other fish ever developed it.

Let's hope it is that; do post back if anything changes :good:
