ok I went to feed one of my gold fish that in my new 15 gallon tank to my surprise he got s bit of fungus on hit mouth eeeeeeek so i didnt have really any medications but this mouth fungus stuff but the expirie date was for march 2004 so i thre it in Iam shure it hasent lost all it medical value by now has it? well is there anything I can do to stop the fungus groth ? all reply would be gratly welcomed...

Is he the only one in the tank?

If he is...I Would put in melafix and heat the water a little bit (75 or so) I would also add salt to help in the healing phase. Keep adding melafix and salt everyday till you see signs of improvements (1 tablespoon of salt for every gallon). Do many water changes (70% everyday) Yeah I know alot...but your goldfish has cotton mouth and Its very hard to get rid of.

If there are other fish in the tank I would do what I said above. Put your goldfish in diffrent tank (Or a large bucket) so you dont stress out the the fish and spread the Illness to the others.

Oh...Make sure its Aquarium salt..the one you get from Your LFS dont use table salt...I am sure you already know this I just want to make sure

Hope This Helped! :D
