Gold Corys

Just thought I'd share a video of my largest tank which includes some C.Melanotaenia and they are simply stunning, I love their golden colour and can't wait to upgrade the tank so I can get a few more.

Current inhabitants are;
5 C.Melanotaenia, 4 C.Aeneus, 7 otocinclus & 6 white cloud mountian minnows.

Very nice.

Those Corys are huge! Unfortunately the video doesn't do their coloration justice; the color looks washed out to me.

How do you keep the white sand so clean?

Some of the corys are paler then others, it's because of the sand, when first introduced the 3 larger ones were all very dark but 2 of them have lightened up to blend in, 1 of them has remained dark. I'm sure once I setup their new home with black sand they will all become darker again.

I do bi weekly water changes which includes getting all the poo out which keeps the sand nice and clean, I have 4 other tanks that get done as well.

SSC - The cave on the right of the tank I got from pets at home last year, the one on the left came with a secondhand tank so no idea where it was purchased.

I want to know where people find white sand. I have hunted everywhere and can only find that tan or brown sand. I can't find white anywhere!
I love the tank and fish by the way.

It's just ordinary playsand icegirl, I have no idea why it looks so white, probably the lighting.
