Hey everyone. I have a 3 gallon eclipse that is dying for a betta. I have had it for a month or so. I have just taken water from my main 20 gallon cycled tank and ran it in the 3 gallon, and done water changes by replacing and adding more of the already cycled water. I just bought a heater the other day. I am really wanting to get a beautiful and "unusual" looking betta. All my LFS don't seem to have the bettas I am looking for and if they do, OLIVE GOES AND SNATCHES THEM!    before I can even look at them. I was looking on Aquabid and there are some amazing, absolutely stunning bettas. I was thinking about dishing out $30 on one of these guys. Do you think that the betta will arrive safely? I might get one from Thailand. I just want to make sure that my betta will arrive safely. Has anyone had experience having a betta shipped to them? Then the other question is what else to put in my tank. I was thinking about getting 3 corys? Does this sound okay? What do bettas enjoy in their tanks? I was thinking one live plant and a small rock or two.....Thanks! :D Trevor

I think ordering a betta online at this time of the year it will arrive safe. I got some from thialand not too long ago and they got here safe and sound. I frequent aquabid alot and just make sure the person you get the betta from has very good feedback. :)

3 corys and one betta in a 3 gallon tank sounds like too much. If I were you,I'd get an apple snail or something. Corys like to be in groups and that small of a tank there just isn't enough room. You could get a couple of otos. However, they like groups as well. :/

A live plant and some rocks sounds okay. Bettas do like a little cave or something to hide in,try a small clay pot turned on its side or a little cave decor with holes big enough for the betta to go in and out and not get stuck.
