gobys and bettas?

does neone no if a spotted goby will go in the tank with a male fighter fish, also can someone explain to me why gouramis dont go with bettas, cos some people have been tellin me that they have them together and they are ok.....

can anyone help?

I dont know about the gobeys but gouramis and bettas dont go together because they are close relatives (just gouramis have deeper bodies) and bettas get to feeling territorial at times. some wil work and some wont but its generally a beter idea not to risk it IMHO.

Try to get some info from the oddball section, someone can probably help you.
Do you mean purple spotted gudgeon, Mogurnda mogurnda? If that is what you have, they can get from 5-7 inches, and will eat a betta
