Does anyone have a good site with pictures so I could try to figure out the name of this Goby I have. Thanks in advance!!!!
So what if I have Platy's in my tank too, will the salt effect them?CFC said:Knight gobies are a brackish fish that require quite a large ammount of salt added to the water in order to keep them alive, without the salt the gobie will die within a few months.
So with that in mind should I take the Knight out and place him in a new tank? And if so what size?CFC said:Platties wont mind a little salt but knight gobies (Stigmatogobius sadanunidio) need quite a heavy dose which i dont think platties will tolerate.
The ammount of salt the knght goby needs is roughly 4 tablespoons of salt per 5 gallons (20 litres) of water so fish like chromides, scats, monos and shark catfish which also need a lot of salt make the best tankmates.
Thanks man!!!! I love this boardCFC said:All your questions have been answered in your other post
