Does anyone have a good site with pictures so I could try to figure out the name of this Goby I have. Thanks in advance!!!!
:S

Can you take a picture and post it in memebers pics? We can try and identify it for you from there.

Thanks,
i found the name of him. He is a Knight Goby, I ran into a site on the net. Thanks for your help.

Knight gobies are a brackish fish that require quite a large ammount of salt added to the water in order to keep them alive, without the salt the gobie will die within a few months.

So what if I have Platy's in my tank too, will the salt effect them? :dunno:

Platties wont mind a little salt but knight gobies (Stigmatogobius sadanunidio) need quite a heavy dose which i dont think platties will tolerate.

The ammount of salt the knght goby needs is roughly 4 tablespoons of salt per 5 gallons (20 litres) of water so fish like chromides, scats, monos and shark catfish which also need a lot of salt make the best tankmates.

So with that in mind should I take the Knight out and place him in a new tank? And if so what size?

All your questions have been answered in your other post ;)
