Glowlights, Size?

how big do glowlight tetras actually grow? it says 2 inches but i cant see that happening?

+ if there kept in a small tank will they still grow 2 inch?

Most fish books say more like 1.5 inches, and I can't say I've ever seen a 2 inch specimen myself.

They grow to nearly 2" - about 1.9"
If the tank is too small for them to get to proper size it is too small to keep them in.

good point, any other small tetras that are hardy?

glolites are definitely the hardiest fish ever. i still have the original 3 i had in my 10 gallon until i upgraded to a 30 gal. those 3 are actually just as big as my guppies, i would say about 2 inches in length. so if given the right amount of room to grow, i'd say they can get pretty big. i've actually seen a black neon that was almost 3 inches, no kidding! so i guess it just depends on the tank.

Yep 2 inches defo,mine were massive and really fat,when i got them they was really small too
