Glow Light Fat Thing Problem? No Idea

ok i got 4 glow light tetra 2 are female and 2 are male im sure, but the 2 females have like suddenly over a few days got massive tummys isit coz thy are going to lay eggs?? or are thy ill??? or are thy jst damm fat ??? they are swimming fine!! eating fine !! even still socialble ie follow my finger and thy arnt acting unusal at all??


if anyones got any ideas id be very grateful

jst spoke to my friend and he told me to ask you guys could it be swelling of eggs becouse he said thy can do tht ?? im still puzzled ??

How many is a few days?

If both females have swollen and the males have stayed the same I would rule out disease as its not logical why the males would be fine.

IMHO I would say you have Parent duties ahead of you!

Watch you fish closeley as disease is not something you can just see by looking at teh fish but also if its acting abnormally.

What do you feed the fish, and what does it look like when they go to the toilet, just feed some shelled peas will do them good anyway.

i feed them flake and waste looks normal tbh i dnt usally c it and the males are very slim and a couple of days is more like 4 or 5 but wht do i need todo if she if thy r carrying eggs???

Glowlights have a tendency to really"pig"out. I have had them in the past and they look really fat especially after eating. Can't tell you if it is pregnant but the are notorious for looking fat, especially the females.

thts kl becouse at the mo i dnt realli want babies lol espcially as ive herd thy have been known to lay 120!!! eggs lol

let nature take its course and you will probably find the fish will eat the eggs anyway. even if they didnt you would be very lucky to raise ALL 120 eggs

thts ok then becouse i was kinda getin worrid coz thy r not fat anymore and are kinda hanging aroudn one plant but i cnt see any eggs of anything so like i dunno maybe all been eaten !
