This is my yellow glofish and on one side of him he has this terrible wound! One of my other glofish bite him when he couldn’t fight back and it’s just getting worse! I’ve got him in a hospital tank. I’m keeping the water clean. I’m dosing him with melafix and aquarium salt for over a week now and it’s not changing! He hasn’t eaten in 4 days and I’m at a total loss about what to do! Help!!

How much salt are you using?
If you used 2 heaped tablespoons of salt per 20 litres (5 gallons) of tank water, and it didn't respond, then try a different medication.

If it hasn't healed after a week with salt and Melafix, you will probably need a broad spectrum medication that treats bacteria and fungus. You might even need an anti-biotic but that should be a last resort.

If the fish has stopped eating it might be too late to treat it :(

thank you for helping me. I hate to see him suffering. its a 5 gallon hospital tank I’ve currently got him in. He was is a 30 so he does not like the small tank and he’s quite mad at me lol. I have been putting in fresh salt everyday after a small water change to keep the tank fresh. And adding the melafix but your right I need to try something else. Do you think a small amount of primafix could help? I know it’s strong stuff and I don’t want to hurt him more. What do you recommend. With the terrible bruising I’ve wondered if he has internal injuries as well. His swim bladder seems fine.

I doubt Pimafix will help.

It looks like an infection, not bruising. And unless the fish was squashed by something, it won't be internal bruising.

It's probably cheaper to replace the fish than treat it but you can try a liquid broad spectrum fish medication that treats fungus and bacteria.
